Simmondsia chinensis

Jojoba oil is non-allergenic, non-comedogenic (won't clog pores), and gentle enough for use around the eyes. Rich in Vitamin E and antioxidants, it promotes healthy skin and protects against free radical damage. Its antibacterial and antifungal properties support wound healing. Energetically, it represents endurance and persistence.

While deeply supportive on its own, jojoba can also enhance the therapeutic effects of essential oils when used as a "carrier" or "base" oil, actively contributing to their effectiveness rather than simply diluting them.

Originating from the arid Southwest US and Mexico, it was historically valued by indigenous peoples for its protective and nourishing qualities in harsh desert conditions.
